Metavirtual.us started in March 2008 because many people thought having a category driven Second Life feed would be easier for those people who like to blog about various things but don’t want their post about something off topic to appear on the regular feeds. At the time the other feeds, worldofsl and fashionfeedofsl, were not accepting new blogs and was limited in accepting new blogs (respectively) and IheartSL had become a community blog instead of a syndication feed.
In 2009 Metavirtual.us started SecondList, a third party Second Life® related classifed website. In 2010 Metavirtual acquired Shopping Cart Disco, a Second Life® fashion and gossip blog. Metavirtual is happy to provide a syndication feed for Second Life® Goreans!

There is no age requirement for blogs to be added.
There is no “quality” requirement for blogs to be added.
Metavirtual’s syndication philosophy is not to discriminate.
Other than a linkback, Metavirtual asks for nothing in return to have your blog syndicated. If you want to support Metavirtual in any way the easiest is to click on the advertising ads. The second easiest way to support the SCD Site Network is to purchase advertising.
Metavirtual has passed it’s two year mark and continues to be a very fast growing and diverse feed. As time goes on, I’d love to expand Metavirtual to more virtual worlds than just Second Life. Unfortunately, at this time, there’s not been much of an interest. I would eventually hope that Metavirtual becomes the largest blog syndication for many different virtual worlds.
The SCD Site Network is powered by Linux and Apache. All software running the site is open source and The SCD Site Network is proud to be part of of the open source community.
